Description

Skardu is a valley formed by the Indus River flowing from Ladakh, India. In summer, Skardu is the base town for trekking to K2 and is crowded with climbers and trekkers. Recently, excursions to the Shigar and Khaplu valleys and the Deosai National Park have become popular among tourists who wish to seek adventure and see nature’s great offerings. Currently, domestic airlines provide flights to this region from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, and if the weather is clear, you might be able to enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world’s 9th tallest peak, from your airplane window.
